Philips DVDR615 - how to record/pause by
Dom Robinson
I bought this machine recently since the DVDR75 (and the DVDR880 it
replaced) kept doing things like not recording or not reading discs
properly, but when they did work, they worked as I wanted them too.
However, with the DVDR615, apart from the godawful menu design (what
was wrong with the old one?), the smaller remote and stupid redesign
of the menu system which isn't as intuitive as the...

Sony SPSL2 Speaker Package? by
Andy Turner
Anyone know what the spec is with these, and whether they're any good?
From the photo, the sub appears to be 100w (which I guess isn't that
much?), but I don't know about the rest. Maybe it's a Richer Sounds
only package, because I can't find a review or much reference to the
model number anywhere!

Samsung HD-745 Anyone used Electrical Disount uk.co.uk? Pixmania better? by
Rolo Tomassi
Hi,
Anyone used these guys before (electrical discount uk) or have comments on
the Samsung HD-745? I mostly want it because of the HDI output to feed by
Sanyo projector.
http://tinyurl.com/3rvyo
Pixmania do it as well for £1 more - any better/worse experiences. Or can I
buy it elsewhere - they seem to be a bit hard to find in UK.

Do I need a M/ R dvd recorder by
AV99
I'm contemplating buying a Panasonic E55 dvd recorder which will be used for
recording purposes only as I intend to use my dedicated dvd player for
playback . Would buying a M/R version of the E55 be a waste of time or would
I need it in order to record M/R discs that I already have or borrow ?
Thanks for any advice

LazenbyADT
Help
I`m looking at upgrading from my current 26" Sony 16:9 IDTV and can`t make
my mind up between LCD or Plasma
I have a budget of around £1500
My needs are 42" without speakers and with speakers 36" would be a good

Got meself a new LCD by
Nige
Ended up going for the Sharp A3 & now I have all connected up (PC via DVI) it blows the Toshiba into
matchwood for the PC aspect, but the TV picture is not as clear as the Toshiba. It's a cracking all round
TV/monitor though. Bit more expensive than what I wanted, but it's great! Component DVD looks stunning

RIP:VHS by
APPRIA40WR
Ah, the memories.
Just seen on the BBC that Dixons are to stop selling VHS 'machines'.
I wonder if DVD will last 20 years? I know it will because of the Web but I
wonder if retailers will drop it for more profitable machines.

Vincent Formosa
My wife wants one of these for xmas
multiregion panasonic DVD-LS50 Portable DVD player
Digital point were rubbish. said they had stock, then they didn't, then when

they'd debited the card, they said no, then it turns out they had. so not
enamoured with digital point.

I have vouchers for the dixons group and noticed the techwood at that price,
can anyone advise on whether I should run for the hills as far as this LCD

Thanks
