I've really pleased with this TV, although it's a nightmare getting all
the picture and sound settings top where I like them - I've been playing with them for two weeks and still can't get things just right! I'd really appreciate input from anyone with the same TV to tell me how they have set their picture preferences - I know everyone's different etc., but it would be very useful to me. A couple of other things - does anyone happen to know how to increase the picture brightness beyond the top (100) setting available on the menu - is there maybe a service menu where this could be done? I like the facility to have the TV switch to the Sky HD box by having the scart connected, but is it OK to do this when using the HDMI connection or will doing so screw up the HDMI connection? TIA. -- |

Get either the AVIA calibration disc or the Digital Video Essentials one. There are various editions of each (Blue Ray, PAL , NTSC) get the one that matches your main viewing source. You can get the discs from play.com , Amazon etc. DVE is meant to be best for Video, but navigating the DVD is a bugger. AVIA is good for Audio but last time I looked it was NTSC only. You shouldnt have to do this. You will end up washing out the whites. Get the calibration discs. Lordy |
