Default Speakers for surround sound TV

I have a friend who has a Samsung FT42Q2HL1 flat screen plasma TV. It has
speaker out sockets, but no speakers.

Does anybody know whether this TV model has amplified or unamplified speaker
outputs? Also, what ohm rating these speakers would need to be?

Thanks

They'd likely be different sockets for speakers or line. Line is normally
phono.

Normal nominally 8 ohm speakers will work with just about any power amp.
