Hi folks, Just bought a Sharp LC46XD1E 46 inch Aquos. Connected both my PC and laptop to it and... nothing. The TV is working with normal SCART input, and I've also made sure to extend my desktop, and the TV is showing as a detected device with compatible resolutions and refresh rate, but still no picture. I spotted this in the specification at the site I bought from: "Input port 5: PC In (no RGB)". Is it significant? Or what else could be wrong? Thanks -- StainlessSteelRat http://www.stainlesssteelrat.net Randall: Look, do you want to be leader of this gang? Strutter: No, we agreed: No leader! Randall: Right. So shut up and do as I say. |

Or what else could be wrong? OK, was my own dumb fault. On the menu there's the option to choose between component VGA and RGB VGA. It was set to component, hence wasn't working. -- StainlessSteelRat http://www.stainlesssteelrat.net "We're not computers, J.F., we're physical." -- Roy Batty, Blade Runner |

I don't appear to have any banding, at least none that I can see. In terms of playing a game, do you mean via the PC? I don't have an Xbox 360. I've yet to try a PC game. I was playing various HD sources yesterday via the PC, including some trailers. Wow. The picture was just stunning. The first time I've really seen HD, aside from a demo that was playing in a shop. -- StainlessSteelRat http://www.stainlesssteelrat.net "Well, this is new territory for me.
