Default Please help with my problems in Homemade projector

Hello All,

I made a home made projector and below is my approch:

I bought a
90mm magnifying glass which costs 1USD in India,
Cardboard box
and a Laptop 699USD

Now what I did is I fixed Magnifying glass in Cardboard Box and placed
my laptop inside the box.

Thats it!!!

Now the problems I faced and solutions i made:
1. PROB:The projection was inverted
SOL: I downloaded a media player named vidmx which can play movie
inverted so that I can get correct projection

Now the problems I faced and DONT have solution:
1. The projected movie is blur from left and right side/edge.
PLEASE help me how can i correct this.

Looking forward to get a solution soon because I cant live without
watching movie on this projector and want to rectify this as soon as
possible.

Please HELP

Thanks in advance

Regards
Saurabh Periwal

Hi Saurabh,

It's an interesting project. I'm not sure that you will get it sharp, but
have you tried using a 2nd magnifying glass in front of/ behind the first,
then changing the distance between the two?
I'm not sure this would affect it to be honest, but for the sake of another
dollar, I'd give it a bash.

Moving the 'projector' closer to the 'screen' should improve the focus too
though.

Let us know how it goes.

That could help. Even on expensive Camera lenses there can be some
blurring around the edges (maybe not as extreme). Maybe fix the
magnifying glass(es) on an adjustable 'rail' so you can tweak it more
easily.
