Yes wrong group, but I'm into 16 mm film projection, doubtfull if you will find a NG for this type of cinema. You would have to settle for a Forum, now I'm a member of 3 all in USA but people from UK/Europe do join in to them. These 3 are basical 16mm, 8mm and digital, but some people are into 35mm for a living or retired from the commercial guauge. Now the bad news is I can't at this moment give you the internet address as the computer with this infomation is at repair. But will do my best to get this info. on its return. In the mean time you could try a Google search for film forums. People sell cinema equipment on Ebay. I'm in West Yorkshire is the cinema in this area? Regards David |

I havent got a clue what the mm is on it, I assumed 35 as there is some negative like film in one of the machines. I am in Devon, on an EX36 postcode if that helps (South Molton, near Barnstaple/Exeter). I've been doing some googling, and know that the machines are Gaumont Kalee President's. I've also discovered I have around 200 reels, some with film on them, and a Duosonic sound like machine! Any links greatly appreciated, I'd love to keep one, but the wife wont have it, and they look pretty heavy! Kind Regards, Ben |

Anyone who would want to put these machines into service would have trouble getting them going again, let alone the possibility of fitting Xenon lamps (as old projectors mostly use carbon arc lamps) or a newer form of sound system. The Projected Picture Trust are a charitable group that will take old film equipment and restore it to good working order (if at all possible). As they're charitable, they don't generally pay for equipment - but they will probably take it off your hands and ensure it doesn't end up in a landfill.
