I phoned my supplier and they were happy to either swap it, refund (as
it was in the refund time) or upgrade.
They hadnt heard of hum from that unit but I didnt want to risk so I
upgraded to the samsung HT-X200R and its just arrived and its tons
better and as a bonus plays my movies straight from my external hard
drive via usb, something the other unit did not even try.
