We haven't used the VCR for some months and when we tried to play a
commercial (pre-recorded) tape today the picture is coming through
"off track" and I can't get the tracking to correct. I've followed the
instructions in the manual regarding tracking without success. This
combination worked fine last time we played a tape and nothing has
changed since. I've checked all the connections - all are well pushed
in to their sockets.

Anyone any ideas please? Thanks

Dirty heads?
A cleaning tape might do it.

The book says the machine cleans heads each time a tape is inserted
and no cleaning of heads is required. I did wonder about this -
perhaps I'll buy a head cleaning tape and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion
